D. Lgs 196/2003, called "Code on matters of protection of the personal data", assembles in a single context the law 675/1996 and the other government decrees, regulations and deontological codes that have been succeeded in these years in theme of personal data handling. D.Lgs 196/2003 dictates a series of prescriptions turned to ensure that the personal data handling performs according to rights, to the fundamental freedoms and to the dignity of the physical people, with special reference to the privacy and the personal identity.
